In this class you get to see, taste and cook with the colorful and flavorful Caribbean ingredients. While this class is aimed to teach tourists more about the local cuisine, it is also a great way for locals to learn new ways to use otherwise well-known ingredients.

Class starts with coffee, a tasting of various local ingredients and tips & tricks from the chef. Under Helmi’s supervision a menu consisting of both traditional as well as modern Caribbean dishes is prepared. The class ends with a delicious lunch on the porch and a well-deserved glass of wine.

A perfect combination of Curaçao’s wonders, visit the breathtaking Hato Caves and one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island! The Hato Caves are home to beautiful limestone formations, romantic pools, a colony of seldom seen long nose fruit bats and stalactites and stalagmites still in formation.

Amerindian Arawaks and escaped slaves used these natural shelters as hiding places. Take a 45-minute tour on a paved illuminated path through the caves and see the cave drawings that the Amerindian Arawaks left behind, estimated to be 1500 years old. After the caves the tour continues to Playa Piskado for a once in-a-lifetime snorkeling experience with sea turtles in their natural habitat. The next stop is Porto Marie Beach for swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing on the beach. Finally, on the way back, the tour drives past the Salt Lake at St. Willibrordus to see the flamingos.

Mangrove Rif Park

Curaçao's mangrove park is a unique nature reserve where you can enjoy the beautiful mangroves and associated animals, You'll find the Curaçao Rif Mangrove Park in Otrobanda, opposite the cruise terminal. Arriving at the park, you first walk past the ticket office. Here you choose whether you want to walk around on your own or take a tour of the park with a ranger. Then they open the gate and you can explore the park on foot or from a kayak.

Between the mangroves, a route has been laid out in decking paths. Through these winding paths, you will discover the entire park in just under an hour and get a unique view of this special nature reserve. Throughout the park you will find signs with more information on the history, importance of mangroves and the different animals that live in the park. Along the way, you will also come across an observation tower, from where you will have a great view of the entire mangrove park.
